Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal alleged widespread irregularities in land dealings across the state. He claimed that the masterminds behind these land scams are operating from Mantralaya.
Referring to the Pune land case, Sapkal accused Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's son, Parth Pawar, of purchasing 40 acres of Mahar Watan land for Rs 300 crore while paying only Rs 500 as stamp duty.
He further stated that the proposal to set up an IT park on the land was approved hastily, and documents were altered. The government later announced the deal’s cancellation, which Sapkal called an admission of guilt.
“Why is Parth Pawar’s name missing from the FIR?”
Sapkal described these land transactions as “acts of collective criminality” and accused the BJP-led Mahayuti government of shielding those involved.
“The Mahayuti government has become completely shameless. Every day a new scandal comes to light, but no action is taken. Ruling party leaders and their relatives are looting the state. Land worth crores in Mumbai and Pune have been grabbed for a pittance.”
Sapkal demands a detailed 'white paper' on land deals, questioning the government’s inaction and pointing to a pattern of corruption involving influential political figures.
