Pakistan triumphed over Kuwait by 43 runs in the final match of the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 tournament held at Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok on Sunday.

Pakistan posted an impressive total of 135 for three in six overs, led by opener Abdul Samad’s quick-fire 42 and captain Abbas Afridi’s explosive 52 off just 11 deliveries. Kuwait, in response, was bowled out for 92 in 5.1 overs. Left-arm spinner Maaz Sadaqat claimed three wickets to seal the victory.
This victory marked Pakistan’s sixth title at the Hong Kong Sixes tournament.
Kuwait delivered a strong showing throughout the event, defeating India, Afghanistan, and England to reach the final. Despite their efforts, they fell short against Pakistan in the deciding match.
India’s campaign began on a high note with a narrow win over Pakistan but quickly deteriorated as they suffered consecutive defeats to Kuwait, the UAE, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan claimed its sixth Hong Kong Sixes title after dominating Kuwait in the final, driven by stellar innings from Abdul Samad and Abbas Afridi.
