South Korean Singer Hyuna Collapses on Stage in Macau

Videos spreading across social media show 33-year-old South Korean performer Hyuna collapsing during her set at the Waterbomb Macau music festival on November 9. She was performing her 2011 hit “Bubble Pop!” when she fainted mid-performance, prompting two backup dancers and security staff to rush to her aid, according to News.Az citing foreign media.

The incident sparked renewed concern about Hyuna’s health as fans awaited official updates regarding her condition.

Apology and Health Statement

Later that day, Hyuna, a former member of K-pop groups Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H, took to Instagram to apologise and reassure her followers that she was recovering well.

“I’m truly sorry,” she wrote in Korean. “It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.”

She admitted she had no memory of fainting and apologised again to fans who attended the Macau concert.

“I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently,” she added. “It will be great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best.”

Past Health Concerns

Earlier in October, Hyuna had worried fans with a social media post about her weight and eating habits, where she addressed herself in the third person.

“Hyun-ah, you ate way too much. Let’s snap out of it and go on a strict diet. You liked being skinny, right?”
