Queensland Police Mourns Ian Leavers APM

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has confirmed with deep sadness the unexpected passing of Ian Leavers APM, Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and a former QPS member.

Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 a.m. at a residence in Mount Ommaney after police were called to the scene. Authorities stated that his death is not being treated as suspicious, though investigations continue.
