The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has confirmed with deep sadness the sudden passing of Ian Leavers APM, Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and a former QPS member.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 a.m. after officers were called to a residence in Mount Ommaney. Authorities do not consider his death suspicious, and investigations are continuing.
