Monday, 10 November 2025: Jetstar is launching its largest expansion at Melbourne Avalon Airport by introducing new international flights to Bali, resuming services to Adelaide, and increasing flights to Brisbane. This growth adds over 330,000 new low-fare seats annually, enhancing travel options for local customers and boosting tourism to support Victoria's economy.
Jetstar’s Bali service will be the first-ever international route from Melbourne Avalon, the airline’s biggest base at the airport. To celebrate, Jetstar is offering a 48-hour sale on all Melbourne Avalon flights, with domestic fares starting from $29 and Bali fares from $199.
Starting 23 March 2026, Jetstar will operate five weekly return flights between Melbourne Avalon and Bali (Denpasar) using Airbus A321LR aircraft, adding more than 120,000 seats annually. The direct flight takes just over six hours, giving customers in Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula convenient access to Bali's beaches, culture, and hospitality.
