Kern County Authorities Arrest Four in Diesel Theft and Credit Card Skimming Scheme

On November 6, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office North Area Substation in Buttonwillow responded to reports of fraudulent credit card activity totaling thousands of dollars at a truck stop on Lagoon Drive.
Investigation Findings
- Investigators found that the suspects used three trucks and various containers, including fuel tanks and five-gallon water bottles, to steal diesel fuel.
- Two of the vehicles were located at a nearby hotel, leading to the arrest of Yasel Yedra Rodriguez, 42, from Houston, and Yoagner Torres Rodriguez, 42, from Las Vegas.
- Authorities recovered computers and electronic devices used for credit card skimming during these arrests.
- On November 7, deputies found the third truck and arrested Rolando Martin Santos, 37, and Aneysi Afonso Amuedo, 34, both from Houston, who were also in possession of card skimming equipment.
