'One life too late': Sobriety and Grief After Fatal Lubbock DWI Crash
Family members noted that Timothy Gonzalez changed significantly since causing a fatal drunk driving accident four years ago. They emphasized that he was not the same person who made that tragic mistake.
A Lubbock judge, however, acknowledged Gonzalez's transformation but expressed that it came "too late" to undo the loss caused by the crash.
"The change is real, but it doesn't bring back the life lost," said the judge during sentencing.
