Death always holds a peculiar fascination for the living, and it’s only natural to wonder what lies beyond the mortal realm. Yet some individuals seek to breach that boundary not for peace or knowledge, but for power and secrets best left untouched. This very force unites a group of occultists in Spooky Doorway’s new adventure game, The Séance of Blake Manor.
The story unfolds in 1897, just days before Halloween. Private investigator Declan Ward arrives at Blake Manor, a once-grand estate now operating as a hotel, to locate a missing woman named Evelyn Deane. Strangely, the residents seem unconcerned about her disappearance, their attention fixed instead on an impending séance planned for All Hallows’ Eve.
With scant clues to follow, Ward must unravel the tangled mysteries surrounding the staff, the guests, and the vanished Miss Deane. The manor’s atmosphere, steeped in late-Victorian eeriness, soon turns from mysterious to downright supernatural. Within minutes of his arrival, Ward encounters an apparition that vanishes into a flurry of crows—only the first of many unsettling phenomena awaiting him.
“The séance is set to take place on All Hallows’ Eve, and none of the guests seem aware—or concerned—about what that truly entails.”
Each discovery draws Ward deeper into the manor’s secrets, making it clear that what began as a missing person case may end in far darker revelations.
A moody and gothic tale where mystery and the supernatural intertwine, The Séance of Blake Manor conjures an atmosphere of dread and intrigue in true Victorian spirit.
