Paramount+ will begin streaming Predators on Monday, December 8. This award-winning documentary by David Osit examines the controversial legacy of Dateline NBC’s To Catch a Predator.
To Catch a Predator involved Dateline collaborating with the group Perverted Justice to conduct sting operations. These operations targeted men attempting to meet individuals they believed to be underage online decoys. NBC recorded these encounters, revealing exchanges before host Chris Hansen confronted the alleged offenders.
"Great for ratings, but a scenario that raised questions about journalistic practice and active collaboration with law enforcement."
After premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Predators was acquired by MTV Documentary Films. It will have a theatrical release in the UK in November before streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in December.
