Health experts warn of a severe flu season this winter, with thousands potentially dying. The NHS has issued an urgent "SOS" alert urging people to get vaccinated to protect themselves and others.
According to UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), flu deaths in England rose sharply, reaching 7,757 last winter compared to 3,555 the previous year. Child fatalities involving flu also increased from 34 to 53.
