Interview: IL TRE on “Anima Nera”
Il Tre returns with his new album “Anima Nera”, released on Friday, 7 November 2025. This third studio album features 11 tracks and is the Roman artist’s most personal and reflective project to date.
Guido Luigi Senia, aka Il Tre, opens up completely, confronting his fears, shadows, and inner contradictions. He chose the album title because it reflects his message: even a pure, luminous soul can have a darker side, which doesn't need to be illuminated.
Il Tre explains that he has learned to embrace his darkest parts and hopes listeners will do the same without guilt or judgment. He regards Black Soul as his most mature work, revealing his fears, loneliness, emotional dependence, and desire for rebirth.
Vulnerability is transformed into music on this raw, unfiltered journey that tells the story of a boy growing alongside his art.
Despite traveling for work—to Milan, New York, Paris—the artist remains grounded where he grew up, surrounded by familiar people and habits. That place remains his stable point, where he feels truly safe.
"I have never moved: I still live where I grew up, with the same people and the same habits. It's my fixed point."
